They reported that Joe, their Hawaiian guide, was the best tour guide anyone could have. He was full of local lore, incredibly knowledgable of local history and geography. He also added a personal touch by adding anecdotes about his family. He was connected to the nature of the natural environment, often speaking of them as though they were part of his extended family.
